Case Study - Ashton Fire Station - 2007
This development was led by Kier and consists of a new £2.1 million, 800 square metre station. Our roof mounted, accepted solution for Hot Water requirements for ablutions and catering included a 20m square Solar Thermal Array which is now delivering datalogged hot water into the building. Due to the lack of slope on the roof the solar panels were mounted on additional racks to ensure they hade the optimum angle towards the sun. The racks had to be securely bracketed to the metal roof. All work was carried out with regard to the correct safety requirements and working at height. Click on images to expand
